First thing to check:can Junglebee take card payments in your country?

Questions operators ask.

40 straight answers about pricing, payouts, bookings and set-up.

Getting started

What is Junglebee?+

Junglebee is online booking software for tour, charter and rental operators. It gives you a booking page and a button for your website, takes card payments, keeps one calendar for every channel, and runs your day from a Day, Week and Month dashboard. It was started in 2016 by a family that runs boat tours, and operators across the Caribbean and the Americas run their day on it.

Who is Junglebee for?+

Boat tours, private charters, jet ski and kite rentals, ATV and buggy tours, dive shops, and walking and food tours. Most operators are in the Caribbean, Central America and North America.

How long does set-up take?+

Sign-up takes about five minutes. Adding your tours, boats and prices usually takes an hour or two. You can take your first booking the same day.

Do I need a credit card to sign up?+

No. There is no card needed to start and nothing to pay until a guest pays you by card.

Is there an app to download?+

Junglebee runs in the browser on any phone, tablet or laptop. There is nothing to install and no app store download.

What languages does Junglebee support?+

The app and the guest booking pages are in English today. This website is also available in Spanish and French.

Pricing and fees

How much does Junglebee cost?+

Junglebee takes 4% of each card payment, plus the card processing fee of about 2.9% + 30 ¢. There is no monthly fee, no set-up fee and no contract.

Are cash payments free?+

Yes. Cash, card machine, room charge and agency payments recorded at the desk carry no Junglebee fee.

Can I pass the 4% on to the guest?+

Yes, and it is the default: a $100 seat is charged at $104. Switch it off in settings and you absorb the fee instead.

Is there a fee for users, products or channels?+

No. Unlimited users, products, channels, reports and support are included.

What happens to fees when I refund?+

The 4% is returned in proportion to the amount refunded. The card processing fee is not returned by the card networks.

Is there a minimum or a commitment?+

No. A quiet month costs nothing, and you can leave any time.

Bookings and capacity

Can Junglebee overbook me?+

No. Capacity is checked the moment anyone books, on every channel. Seats come from the boats or units running each departure, a party is never split across boats, and a boat on another trip is not sold.

How does capacity work with two boats?+

A departure sells the seats of the boats running it, filled in the order you set. When a boat is away on a charter or another trip, its seats disappear from every product for that time.

Can I sell private charters and shared tours on the same boats?+

Yes. A private charter takes the whole boat for its time, and the shared tours lose that boat’s seats for the same window.

How do rentals work?+

Rentals use units and packages on a 15-minute grid. The guest picks any start time inside your opening hours and the unit is blocked for the package length.

Can guests change their own booking?+

Yes. In the guest portal they can re-send their ticket, pay a balance, update their details, change the date inside your free-change window or cancel with the refund shown first.

Can I take walk-ins and phone bookings?+

Yes. The desk booking form follows each product’s set-up, shows the seats open and offers to split a group that is too big for one boat.

What happens if I cancel a departure for weather?+

Its bookings move to an unscheduled list with the fix next to each: move them to another date or tour, or cancel with the refund shown first.

Your booking page and website

Do I need a website?+

No. Every company gets its own booking page at book.junglebee.com/your-company. Share it on Instagram, WhatsApp, Google or a sign at the dock.

Can I add booking to my existing website?+

Yes. Add one line of code and a button. The booking page opens on top of your site, so guests never leave it. It works on WordPress, Squarespace, Webflow, Weebly, Duda and any HTML site.

Can I match the button to my brand?+

Yes. Pick from ten button themes or set your own colours, and choose where guests go after they book.

Can guests add extras at checkout?+

Yes. Add-ons such as lunch, gear or photos can be priced per person, by quantity or once per booking, and can be optional or mandatory. Hotel pickup can be priced per guest or per booking.

Channels and resellers

Does Junglebee connect to GetYourGuide and Viator?+

Yes. GetYourGuide, Viator and Tripadvisor, and other resellers including Tiqets, Klook, Headout, Musement, Civitatis and Booking.com Attractions, all sell from your Junglebee availability.

Will reseller bookings overbook me?+

No. Every channel draws from the same seats. A seat sold on a reseller closes on your website, booking page and desk at the same moment.

Does Junglebee charge on reseller bookings?+

No. The 4% applies only to card payments Junglebee processes. Resellers charge their own commission.

Is Junglebee an OTA or a reseller?+

No. Junglebee is your booking system. We do not sell your tours ourselves; we connect you to the resellers you choose.

Team, reports and data

Can my team have their own logins?+

Yes, with unlimited users. Roles include Owner, Manager, Desk, Captain / Crew and Accountant, each seeing only what they need.

What reports are included?+

Overview, daily intake, by product, by website, payouts and an audit trail of every change. Every report exports to Excel or CSV.

Can I export my data?+

Yes. Bookings, guests and reports export to Excel or CSV at any time.

Is my data safe?+

Each company’s data is kept separate at the database level, so one company can never see another’s. Card details are handled by Stripe and never stored by Junglebee.

I use classic Junglebee. What changes?+

The new Junglebee is a rebuilt app. Your classic log-in keeps working while you move; ask us and we will help you switch.
